Job Description

Aspire Create are a specialist joinery and interior fit-out company based in North Down. Due to expansion and growth our company is currently seeking an Operations Manager to lead a team on a range of projects. It is essential that the candidate comes from a joinery background and understands specialist joinery and interior fit-out within the retail, commercial and hospitality sectors.

As the Operations Manager at Aspire Create you will report and liaise with the Managing Director and lead your team to successfully manage projects and their associated activities from conception to completion, deliver high-end projects to an exceptionable standard to the agreed timescales and budgets.

Essential

  • At least 3 years experience in contract management
  • Must be a strong decision maker – ability to work on own initiative
  • A positive proactive attitude
  • Must possess a strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communicator and problem solver
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships – clients and work colleagues
  • Very strong ability to multitask a range of projects
  • Must be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Excellent client focus and liaison skills
  • Ability to extract best value and maximize returns on projects
  • Must be flexible with working hours – to enable the prompt completion of projects

Advantageous

  • Experience in shopfitting joinery – workshop and site
  • Experience in pricing for joinery projects
  • Windows 10
  • MCIOB

Duties will include (but not limited to)

  • The contract management of all projects on an on-going basis through regular progress meetings
  • Project planning of all labour and sub-contractors
  • Cost control and budgeting
  • Preparing interim payments and final accounts
  • Liaising with internal workshop production with schedule of joinery and orders
  • Deal with problems as they arise,provide effective solutions
  • The management of all H&S, RAMS, handover files etc
  • The recording and scheduling of all projects and labour using Microsoft Project

The successful candidate can expect:

  • Salary – £35000 – £45000 (salary will be negotiated depending on skills and experience)
